Dressed to Thrill

A young woman from Ashington tired of her factory job has set up her own business in the town.

29 year old Kerry Ann Tilley had always wanted to run her own business and when the opportunity arose she took it and her fancy dress shop Dressed to Thrill opened on Woodhorn Road, Ashington in March.

“It’s something that I’ve wanted to do for a long time and I’m very excited to be finally open for business.”

Kerry was able to get her idea off the ground after receiving financial help in the form of a flexible fund grant which helped her buy some of the essentials needed to set up.

“As well as the funding from Go Wansbeck, the help I received in locating premises was very important. When I first started searching for somewhere, it was difficult finding affordable and suitable locations.”

Luke Dunnett, Commercial Premises Co-ordinator with the Wansbeck Business Forum was on hand to offer help and advice to Kerry on all aspects of commercial property.  Luke said “Kerry has shown great drive and determination to get this off the ground and I am pleased to see ‘Dressed to Thrill’ open for business.”

Dressed to Thrill sells and hires fancy dress outfits and related items and has a large selection of outfits for all ages, sizes and occasions.
